Our Pet Sitters

I have been working with Villaridge Pet Sitters since March 2013 but have been an avid dog and animal lover my whole life. I decided to join the company when I wanted to find a way to spend more time with dogs outside of my regular job. There is nothing better than the excitement on a dog's face when you come to take them out for a walk or play with them when their owners are away. I love all dogs, but over the last few years I have spent most of my time with my parents' 2 English bulldogs and my sister's 2 bull dogs. These 4 goofy pups put a smile on my face every time I see them and often have me in fits of laughter. When I'm with your dogs, you can rest assured that they will be loved and entertained. In the time I have been with Villaridge, I have met several great walkers and I know that everyone here just loves animals.

Tina

Certified Veterinary Assistant
I started working with Villaridge in the summer of 2012 covering the Sterling area. I've been working full time in Reston, Herndon and Great Falls since spring 2014. I have a young dog and an adult cat, both from rescue organizations. I understand each of their personalities and apply it to my every day job. Villaridge has given me a career caring for animals and making them happy, which I love. I am a certified veterinary assistant, this gives me great experience with different medications, health problems, diet regimens and any specific requirements your pet may have.

LeAna

Hi, my name is LeAna and I have been with the team since April of 2014. I have always had an amazing bond with animals and enjoy the company of all of my furry friends. My dogs have made my home complete. It's so great being able to work with animals who come from happy homes. I definitely enjoy being able to care for animals while benefiting from the active lifestyle. This job has given me the freedom to continue with my degree and has also left plenty of time for me to spend with my family. I have come to love all of my pets and am grateful to work with such nice people.

Jeanne

I have been working with Villaridge since August of 2005. I was a full time dog walker but now do mostly sits. Currently, I am between pets right now, but have owned one dog and three cats. Rhoda and Sarah are great to work with and want us all to be comfortable with our clients. It has been like that since they bought the company and I haven't had a need to seek out others to work for. My favorite part of my job is, meeting sweet and wonderful pets and their equally nice owners! I do have a certificate in Pet First Aid and experience as a lifetime pet owner. You can expect, the best possible care I can give, while leaving your fur kids in my care.
Jeanne

Steve K.

My love affair with animals started at a very young age when my father brought home my very first puppy! Since then my home has always been full with at least one if not multiple pets. I have been an active volunteer at animal shelters and equine rescue and have fostered horses until ready for adoption. I have been with Villaridge Pet Sitters since 2009 and look forward to seeing my clients furry friends each day.

Scott

I joined Villaridge in December 2014, and I love being able to interact and play with so many great animals. The flexible schedule the job offers is perfect for me, as I can keep a job I love while still being able to go to school. I am an experienced pet owner: I have two bearded dragons (Wallace and Spike), a Chinese water dragon (Rosetta), and four cats (Chowder, Carat, Cuppy, and Merlin). Because of my experience with my own pets, clients of Villaridge can expect a caring, understanding hand when I take care of their furry kids. I'll follow their instructions to a T, and treat their pets like royalty.
Scott

Her name is Maggie May and is a golden lab/retriever mix. I was always known for trying to drag home homeless animals, even though my home was never without animals. Hi, my name is Donna. My husband and I moved to Reston from Wisconsin in 2004, and we really enjoy Virginia life with our labradoodle, Foster. We have a daughter who lives in the New York City area with her two dogs. We love to have them visit. There's never a dull moment when the three dogs are together. I've been with Villaridge since 2006, and I never dreamed that walking dogs would be my dream job. Every day, I look forward to taking care of my dogs; they are all very special and make me feel special also. Villaridge has a great group of walkers. Every one of them is very reliable and caring. I'm proud to be part of such a wonderful organization.

Aimee

American Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR Certified
I have been working for Villaridge Pet Sitters LLC since September 2006. I feel extremely fortunate to be working for Rhoda Otero and Sarah Parkinson. They have given me so much over the years that I think I have now been thoroughly spoiled for any other job, and I know for certain I am not the same person I was before I joined their team of animal lovers. Being a pet sitter has given me an outlet for embracing my lifelong passion for animals. I can't imagine another occupation where I get to interact with so many wonderful animals and their fantastic owners. I truly believe the pets we care for and their owners are the heart of the company! I am able to administer medication to dogs and cats and am always willing to go the extra mile for you and your furry, feathered, or scaled family member! This is a picture of me with my dog, Ginger.

Sheila

I am Sheila and I have worked with Villaridge for two and half years now. I currently do not have any pets but that's the best perk of pet sitting, its like having grand-kids, just better! My favorite part of this job is when the pets greet your arrival, and especially when a pet wants to sleep in my room for the overnights. I sincerely take pride in how the owners of Villaridge care for the pets like family members. While your pets are in my care they will be treated like family. I do this work because it makes me smile.
Sheila

Lucy

Since having a dog as a child, I've always loved animals. Before moving to Reston, I lived in an apartment that wouldn't allow pets. Therefore, I started volunteering at an animal shelter, where I took care of many dogs and cats and met our dog, Susie, whom I loved so much that I moved to a pit bull-friendly townhouse so I could take her home. She was one of the many sweet, unwanted pit bulls who waited and waited to find a forever home at the shelter. Many dogs, especially pitbulls, end their short lives at the animal shelter because nobody wants them. It broke my heart that I couldn't rescue all of the precious, unwanted animals at the shelter. However, I did save Susie's life. She captured our heart, and she no longer has to spend nights alone in the corner cage at the animal shelter. I look forward to meeting you and your pets. I promise to take care of them as if they were my own.
Lucy

Anne

My name is Anne, I am 25 and live in Northern Virginia. All of my life, I have had a passion for animals from rats to horses, which are my other passion. Whether it's taking care of a sick animal I find or showering my pets with love, I am not happy unless I am involved with animals. Working for Villaridge is amazing. Every one of the sitters has the same passion for the animals that I have. Getting to know and work with your clients is a very special aspect of the job. We form such strong bonds with our furry clients, and they really look forward to seeing us every day.
Anne

Sara

I have been working with Villaridge Pet Sitters since 2007, and I couldn't be happier. Caring for animals is a happy and relaxing way to make my income. I truly love animals, and I hope to continue to work with pets and the wonderful family that Villaridge has become for many years.

Janis

PetTech® CPR & First Aid Certified
In June 2010, I realized that my Social Security check was not going to support me. I needed a part-time job. I didn't want to teach, write computer documentation, or edit bad writing. What I really wanted to do was spend my time with my Beagle, Runner, and my grand dogs (which are various shapes and sizes from a tiny Maltese to a huge Pyrenees). But that was not a good way to supplement my income. The best of both worlds? Working with the great people at Villaridge Pet Sitters. I get to spend all my time with wonderful pets that range from dogs and cats to birds and hermit crabs, and I earn a little "pocket money." Only one drawback. I want to bring all of the animals home with me. I fall in love with each and every one!
Janis

Nancy

My husband and I married late in life - I came with my cat, Grace, into our marriage and we also helped rescue 2 rat terrier mixes from a kill shelter. I volunteer at Birmingham Green Nursing home with our dogs when I am not working. I started working with Villaridge in February 2015 after we used Dan, one of the sitters to take care of our rat terriers several afternoons. When you rescue puppies, you never know what health issues you will have and since we had many health issues with our dogs, I feel comfortable to give meds to any pets, too. I look forward to loving and caring for your fur babies as well as I can...you can rest assured while you are away that they will receive love and attention.
Nancy

Bekah

I have worked for Villaridge Pet Sitters since June of 2012. I grew up in Reston in a family with four siblings and many pets over the years, including dogs, cats, parakeets, hamsters, fish, and turtles. I even managed to convince my family to let me bring in a few snakes when I was living with them. As a teen, I passed out pet care flyers in my neighborhood and had a daily job for several years walking neighbors dogs and other animals. I have worked for a pet store feeding, cleaning, and giving meds to the animals as well. I now reside in Oakton with my two cats that I adopted and adore more than anything! I have always loved animals!!!! Villaridge has given me the opportunity to share my passion for animals.

Steve (AKA "Dogboy")

Animal care and rescue are my true passions in life and I have dedicated the last 16 years to helping homeless animals. I've been blessed with seven truly special dogs during my life; five followed me home from the animal shelter! Animal care is more than just a job...it is a huge responsibility to provide the ultimate care to the animal guest; assuring the client that the number one goal is to ensure the safety of their pets left in our care.

I follow a simple philosophy: treat each client like they are the only one and most important, understanding their pets are their children and family members...focusing on listening, noting requests, following instructions, using positive reinforcement and providing service that exceeds expectations. Since 1996, I have been a senior volunteer, including a term as Executive Director, and dog walker at a local non-kill animal shelter. I've walked big and small dogs, also working closely to rehabilitate extremely shy ones.
